Full of Action and Fun

Circus 1903 not only takes you back in time, it shares the story and the history of the circus in a fun and action filled way. From the days of side shows and traveling caravans to the raising of the big top, all under the roof of the Boch Center Wang Theatre.

At Circus 1903 Boston you will encounter acrobats, jugglers, aerialists, and circus arts that have been passed down for generations. Even some members of the audience will end up on stage!

Tip: Get there early to take advantage of photo opportunities and the chance to meet (and get your pictures taken with) the stilt walking, parasol spinning, greeters!

Yes, there are elephants! Not only will Queenie and Peanut steal your hearts, you will quickly forget that they are puppets. That’s right, inside and outside are the puppeteers that bring them to life. I wanted to take Peanut home with me.

• Wednesday through Saturday evenings at 7:00 pm
• Matinees at 11:00 am and 3:00 pm on Saturdays
• Sundays at 1:00 pm and 6:30 pm.

Along with a huge cast of the most unique, amazing and dangerous circus acts from all four corners of the world, from strong men to contortionists, acrobats to musicians, knife throwers, high wire and much more!

This turn-of-the-century circus spectacular has all the thrill and daredevil entertainment one would expect from the circus, with an exciting new twist. The show is set in an extraordinary and decadent circus tent. Act 1 is in front of the circus with trucks, props and rigging. Act 2 features the tent, flagpoles and rigging being raised into the roof of the theater.

The show has just premiered in Australia. Boston is the 4th stop on its national tour.
