Celebrate the Gibbons Birthday on September 5th and Take Part in a Food Truck Safari September 12th
September 5 – Gibbon Birthday Party – Stone Zoo
The Stone Zoo will be celebrating the birthdays of white-cheeked gibbons Kien and Paddy. In honor of Kien’s 14th birthday and his son Paddy’s 4th birthday, the exhibit will be party ready and decorated, not to mention the great birthday celebration treats that the gibbons will get to enjoy.
The party is for you too. Guests will get to celebrate with cake that has been generously donated by Whole Foods Market Melrose.
Stop by the exhibit at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to meet the zookeepers and ask questions, and be sure to sign Kien and Paddy’s giant birthday card!

September 12 – Food Truck Safari – Franklin Park Zoo
Visit the Stone Zoo on September 12 as food trucks from all over Boston roll into Franklin Park Zoo for a deliciously wild day!
At this Food Truck Safari, Zoo guests will have the opportunity to purchase tasty offerings from some of Boston’s best food trucks as they stroll among western lowland gorillas, ring-tailed lemurs, giraffes, zebras and so much more.
Participating food trucks include:
- Captain Marden’s Cod Squad
- Daddy’s Bonetown Burgers
- The Dining Car
- Frozen Hoagies
Access to the Food Truck Safari is included with regular paid Zoo admission. This does not include the cost of food at each truck.
