Wizard of OZ Boston Now through April 24

Wizard of OZ Boston through April 24

Wizard-Featured

What a performance! We can’t say enough about this show – we loved it, and the kids were on the edge of their seats with excitement and anticipation. From the costumes to the music we enjoyed it all! Our littlest one is still trying to figure out how they ‘melted’ that wicked witch – lol.

Be sure to check out our tips below for making the most of your theater experience with your little ones.

Don’t miss out, the show will only be here through April 24 – get your tickets today and take advantage of the discount code while you can.

Yellow Carpet Event

What an amazing night we had at the Yellow Carpet for Dorothy’s grand entrance. Dorothy and Toto were greated by the Lollipop Guild and then signed autographs.

Tips for Viewing the Show

  • There are lots of visual effects as well as smoke and fire in the performance. If your child is sensitive to sound, sitting a little further back will help them enjoy the experience.
  • Booster seats are available at the entrance to the theater – even our 10 year old who is on the smaller size used one – it made the performance all that more enjoyable for her.
  • The Wicked Witch does make an appearance close to the audience on the left hand side of the theater (within the first few rows) so just be advised if you are in the area.
  • You are not able to take photos or videos during the show and it is suggested that you turn off all electronics.
  • During the intermission we had plenty of time to get the kids to the restroom and back comfortably in their seats.
  • Food and drinks are allowed in the theater
  • There is a parking garage on the same street  as the theater – only feet away from the entrance. This is where we parked – there is also an elevator in the garage.

The Wizard of Oz will play a 2-week engagement at Boston’s Citi Wang Theatre, running April 12-24, 2016. This new production is an enchanting adaptation f the all-time classic, totally reconceived for the stage. Developed from the ever popular MGM screenplay, this production contains the beloved songs from the Oscar®-winning movie score, all the favorite characters and iconic moments, plus a few surprises along the way, including new songs by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber.
