Searching for LEGO Movie MiniFigures

Searching for LEGO Movie MiniFigures

Searching for Emmet

Searching for LEGO Movie Mini Figures

We decided to search for the LEGO Movie Mini Figs and this was our adventure!

Spending quality time with my 12 year old son is so important to me – he is growing up so fast – so I was thrilled when he accepted my offer over the weekend to go in search for the The LEGO Movie minifigures!

We are a LEGO brick loving family – and I have to say that I have become more obsessed with this series of mini figures than any other and can’t wait to see the movie! Meet all the characters here.

So we started our search after a wonderful breakfast out and planned our strategy and budget – setting some parameters so we didn’t go too crazy – we already had 5 characters but were looking for the main character, Emmet. (I should have calculated travel and gas expenses! LOL)

Where did we search for Lego MiniFigures?

Green Elephant, Ipswich Mass

We started at our local downtown toy store – The Green Elephant – when ever we can shop local we try and LEGO products are no exception, they have a great selection and prices that are the same as the big box stores and Harrison, a Green Elephant employee, was more than happy to help us on our ‘blind search’ as we felt for clues to which figures were hidden inside. We successfully acquired 5 packages.

The price $2.99 each package – this is the same price that you will find at Five Below, LEGO.com, and Target!

LEGO Store, North Shore Mall

Lego Store at the North Shore Mall  was our next stop! The LEGO Store had only 8 packages left in stock – we were able to identify one we didn’t have and moved on to the next location – Toys R Us.

Search for Mini Figs!

Toys R Us

Toys R Us has a great selection of LEGO Movie sets and LEGO Movie mini figure packages – but the price per piece $4.49* – not the deal we were looking for so with only a few dollars left in the budget  we passed; however, we will be back! (This was the location we shopped, I have seen them there for $3.99 and now online at Toys R Us for $3.19 – so prices can vary)

Lego Build Event at Toys R Us!

Searching for LEGO Movie MiniFigures Continues at this event!

Where’s Emmet?  We WILL find you!

We wrapped up our day with 13 of 16 characters in the collection. Searching for LEGO Movie MiniFigures has been quite the journey!  Emmet has still eluded us – but our search continues! We may have gone a ‘little’over budget on spending but the day with my son was priceless.
