NECCO #ColorYourOwn Event at Orange Leaf in Newburyport

February 18, 2014 By: Christinecomment

Newburyport’s Orange Leaf hosts Mom’s Lifesavers’ event to promote the #ColorYourOwn Contest from NECCO!

Orange Leaf #ColorYourOwn Coloring event hosted by Mom's Lifesavers

The sweetest kids arrived in the snow flurries to decorate conversation sweetheart boxes.  Each of them will take their colored boxes home and upload their creation to enter the $1,000 scholarship contest offered by NECCO in Boston.  We have more details in our blog post from last week, check it out.

Community Outreach feels good Orange Leaf #ColorYourOwn Event

Bonnie and I adore connecting with our community.

We have such a cool platform to reach the world with our blog.  It brings us great joy to connect mainstay powerhouse brands to a new generation.  NECCO is a great company to support and example of this.  The candy is manufactured here in our country.  It’s a great thing!

Families are always looking for fun things to do as well.  To offer free events for kids and families is something near and dear to our hearts. We can’t thank Orange Leaf in Newburyport enough for dedicating their space weekly to community outreach.  It’s just a really cool thing to be a part of and hope to be doing it for a long time.

A Princess came to visit

Today many of our friends came out to support us.  But one was very special…Dana and her beautiful daughter Ella came out.  They are very involved in one of our FAVORITE organizations benefiting woman and cancer treatment/recovery called TOUGH WARRIOR PRINCESSES!  Bonnie and I did a holiday fundraiser for this organization last year and our mutual appreciation has been cemented.

Community is so unique and special, you can call it support, love and friendship.  We highly encourage all of you to find that special organization or cause you believe in  – it’s good for the soul.  It’s also wonderful to be in business with a partner that shares the same vision.  Thank you, Bonnie! xo

Thank you hugs!

Special thanks to NECCO for supplying our community with #ColorYourOwn candy boxes!  The kids LOVED them and your new product is a big hit with the kids.

Thank you to Orange Leaf in Newburyport for opening up their fabulous yogurt shop in beautiful Newburyport.  As the snow started to flutter about outside, I felt so cozy inside with all of our little artists!  It was awesome.

Question

Tell us, what makes you connect with your community?  Do you support an organization you would like us to know about! Tell us in the comments.

xoxo Christine and Bonnie
