Introducing Gate K

We packed up the family and headed into Boston so that our kids could experience Fenway. How exciting that they have their very own Gate to enter through – Gate K. ‘K ‘is for kids and the new concourse is family friendly AND fun.

We entered through Gate K, there is security there as well (metal detectors and security personnel) be sure to leave your pocket knives at home. I only mention this because my husband had a pocket knife on him and rather than walk back to the car he handed it over to security and told the attendant to use it in good health. Once through security we were greeted by a Gate K ambassador, Ebony. Ebony greeted us with a smile and the kids each received Kid Nation bracelets – so cool.

We met the awesome baseball player on stilts, who posed for a picture with us and headed over to the #CallingAllKids check in where our kids received their Fenway Park Passports.

Great activities like face painting an balloon art (all for free) were taking place throughout the Kids Concourse as of course there was lots of food choices – yum.

We even were able to capture the resident balloon artist making a much sought after ‘Wally Bopper’.

We settled into our seats and started taking in all the sights and sounds of Fenway. We made a food run for Fenway Franks, chicken fingers, fries in a hat basket and of course, Cracker Jacks.

Did I mention there was a game going on? The magic of Fenway doesn’t just happen on the field.

The seats, the food, the crowd and the city that surrounds it, all contributes to the Fenway experience, and that experience is more family friendly than ever.

Wally’s Clubhouse

By the time the 3rd inning arrived, the kids were ready to stretch their legs and head to Wally’s Clubhouse. Wally’s Clubhouse opens during the 3rd inning and is ready for visitors.

Wally is even available for photos during the 3rd inning, so be sure to bring your camera.  With entertainment, lots of Lego bricks, coloring activities and even face painting there is something for everyone at Wally’s Clubhouse. The game was up on the screen for the parents to enjoy, along with beverage service.
