Easy Bisquick Sausage Balls – Great for Entertaining!

Easy Bisquick Sausage Balls - Mom's Lifesavers

Easy Bisquick Sausage Balls – Mom’s Lifesavers

This is a ‘go to’ Mom’s Lifesavers recipe for hosting during the holidays. Our family loves these and we serve them with a variety of dipping sauces. Our favorite is ‘duck sauce’ but BBQ and chili sauce are also a big hit.

You can find the recipe on the box of Bisquick too if you are looking for it – its great to be able to pull the box right out of the pantry and not have to look for the recipe!

TIP – When making these, have some freezer storage bags on hand. The Easy Bisquick Sausage Balls recipe makes a ton, so its perfect for making a batch and freezing some for a last minute appetizer during holiday party and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 3 Cups of Original Bisquick
  • 1 Pound of uncooked bulk pork sausage (you can find this in the freezer section and also with the bacon and hot dogs/deli area)
  • 4 Cups of shredded cheddar cheese (a 16 oz bag)
  • 1/2 Cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 Cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp dried rosemary leaves crushed
  • 1/2 tsp parsley flakes
  • Sauces for dipping – try a variety for your guests: sweet mustard, BBQ, chili sauce and our favorite, duck sauce

How To

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and prepare your cookie sheet with cooking spray
  2. Using a large mixing bowl, mix together all of the above ingredients with the exception of the dipping sauces. This is a pretty hearty recipe to mix, you may want to roll up your sleeves and use your hands.
  3. Once mixed thoroughly, roll into 1″ shaped balls. The sausage balls will expand when cooking. Place on a cookie sheet
  4. Bake 20 to 25 until they are golden brown, remove from the pan using a spatula and serve warm.
  5. Put out a few different dipping sauces from savory to sweet!
