My #JennyCraigMoment 5 Weeks In

Did I think I would make it this far into the Jenny Craig Program and still be loving it? Honestly, no. I can’t remember the last thing I did for myself for 4 straight weeks. The program is so easy to follow and produces results.

What did I expect for results? Well, I thought I would see some, but not like I have. The biggest difference that I have seen in the past 4 weeks has been my energy level and my change in snacking habits.

I am back to walking for exercise and just participated with my son in a Walk for the Poor through our local church. It felt great to know that I could walk 2.5 miles and enjoy it – it felt good on so many levels – I can’t wait to do another walk in our area. I want to be successful and I want to continue this journey and continue to care for myself.

New Habits

I have new snacking habits – I’m calling it snacking consciously. I’m really thinking before I’m reaching for that snack. Instead of just opening up the pantry and grabbing crackers or one of the kids fruit snacks, I’m making myself a cup of tea or having a bottle of flavored water. I’m reaching for celery sticks (I LOVE that crunch!) and apple slices in the afternoon. Apples really are a gift this season, with so many local varieties to choose from.

It sounds silly but I love cereal and Jenny Craig has a variety of breakfast cereals that I am really enjoying. Cereal reminds me of breakfast when I was a kid and I look forward to my Jenny Multi-grain Hoops and Cranberry Almond Cereal – so yummy – not to mention it is great for travel.

My Latest Check-In

Here I am with my Jenny Craig ribbon. That’s right, after my check-in at Jenny Craig last week, Denise, my counselor, presented me with 7.5 inches of ribbon – yup, ribbon. This blue ribbon represents the 7.5 inches that I had lost over the past 4 weeks with Jenny Craig. Nine and half pounds* and 7.5 inches – wow. The best part? I feel great! *Results not typical. Members following our program can expect to lose, on average 1-2 lbs per week. I received promotional consideration.
