Choosing a birthday theme is usually an easy task, as not only do most children have definite likes and dislikes, but they usually start talking about their birthdays months in advance! There are a lot of ideas out there, some of which include:
• Animal – dog, cat, horses
• Barnyard – dress like cowboys and cowgirls
• Beach/pool party – have a slip n’ slide, water balloons, sprinklers
• Circus – do face painting, hire a clown
• Dinosaur – create an archeological “dig” for dinosaur bones
• Fall fair – rent a “Moonwalk” for jumping

• Favorite Disney character
• Favorite television character or program
• Hawaiian – complete with lei’s and a luau
• Jungle safari – wear safari hats and “hunt” for animals
• Magic – hire a magician
• Medieval – wear knight and princess costumes, rent a pony
• Mexican fiesta – have a piñata, sombreros, make-your-own tacos
• Seasonal – apple picking, winter sledding
For Girls Only
• Diva – dress-up in shiny outfits and dance the party away
• Flashback to the 60’s, 70’s, or 80’s! – hippies, disco ball
• Mermaid – underwater theme with a splash in a kiddie pool
• Princess – crowns, wands, and pin the lips on the frog game
• Slumber party – nail painting, popcorn, black lights, pillow fights
• Tea party – make tiny pastries and finger sandwiches
• Diva – dress-up in shiny outfits and dance the party away
• Flashback to the 60’s, 70’s, or 80’s! – hippies, disco ball

• Sports – get a favorite theme and hit a “homerun”
• Super heroes
• Trains (Thomas) – dress up like train conductors with hats and scarves around their necks
