Experience Your Imagination in 3D – We did!

Mom’s Lifesavers LOVES arts and crafts – not only for the kids but for us too. We’re always looking for a family friendly craft that won’t break the bank and that we can all create with.

So when we were invited to try out DohVinci, from Hasbro the makers of Play-Doh, we rolled up our sleeves and got to work! The opinions expressed in this post are entirely our own.

Have You Heard of DohVinci?

I hadn’t until my eight year old came to me a few weeks ago and said. “Mom, for my birthday can I get this ‘doh’ thing? I really want you to see kit. It’s new, I love it, can you find it?’

Well, we found it and I was super impressed with the display at Toys R Us.

Sure it looked cool, but does it work? Is it fun? Is it affordable? Yes, yes, and yes!

Our Invitation to Play

We were invited to try out DohVinci – not just look at it through a display case but really put it to the test.

Our DohVinci product review is based on OUR experience.

Our take-away? This is one of the best ‘toys’ we have ever seen!

The possibilities with DohVinci are truly endless.

How to describe it?

Well, first off, its dough – but not the Play-Doh you and I remember but a smoother, thinner consistency that comes in a variety of colors in Deco Pops. These self contained ‘doh capsules’ easily slide into the DohVinci Styler (it resembles a ‘glue gun’ but there are no cords, wires, heat or batteries!)

Does it have a smell? Yes, that yummy familiar Play-Doh smell – but it isn’t overpowering, just enough to take you down memory lane!

Is it sticky? No, not tacky or sticky but it does stick to the surface you place it on. DohVinci can be used to decorate wood, cardboard, glass, paper, duct tape, and more!

Our hosts even mentioned you can use it on pumpkins – I can’t wait to try that!

What about the clean up? There really isn’t any. Simply remove the Deco Pop and put the cap back on it. The DohVinci compound will dry overnight and your masterpiece is ready to show off!

DohVinci comes in a variety of kits, all the kits we have seen were priced under $20. A price point that makes this mom very happy.

The Deco Pops come in a variety of colors and you can purchase additional ones separately, but each kit is complete with a Styler and enough Deco Pops to do the included project.

Our Creations

We left our DohVinci experience so excited to share it with our readers! We also had our hands full of our creations to bring home. I think I see a DohVinci birthday party in the near future!
