Mom’s Lifesavers – Gadgets We Love! Pineapple Cutter

April 18, 2013 By: Bonniecomment

I LOVE our pineapple cutter!

Fresh cut pineapple is a welcome snack enjoyed by everyone in our home – the trick though, getting the most out of the pineapple without making a total sticky mess! The solution – a pineapple cutter!

Step 1 – cut off the top of your pineapple

Step 2 – Place cutter on top of cut pineapple centering it over the core and turn in a clockwise direction.
Step 3 Remove the center of the pineapple by pulling the cutter upwards

TIP – Do this over a bowl – there could be LOTS of juice!

Perfectly cored pineapple – yum!

Whala! A perfectly cored pineapple.

You can find pineapple corers here. I have even given these as gifts – they can be quite the conversation piece.

TIP – Give a pineapple cutter with a fresh pineapple as a housewarming gift! After all, the pineapple is a symbol of hospitality – read more about it here.

TIP – Looking to make some fancy beverages – use the outside of the pineapple to hold your favorite fruity drink – just remove the core – now that will be something to talk about!

TIP – Need to know more about pineapple? – You’ll find it here. From the colonial pineapple trade to the use of pineapple as an artistic motif – more than you ever wanted to know!
