Patriots Redcoats and Spies by Robert J. Snead and Robert A. Snead is a great adventure read your family with love.

Did I say family? I did. Not only did I read it (I couldn’t put it down) both my husband and son, who love their historic fiction were all over it.

Written by a father son team, that also happen to be sons of the American Revolution, Patriots Redcoats and Spies is filled with action and suspense and keeps moving — after all this adventure is time sensitive! Twin 14 year old boys, Ambrose and John Clark, find out that their father is a spy and must complete his mission before the Redcoats find them.

Their Mission

Ambrose and John have accepted the mission from their father, a member of the Culper Spy Ring for the patriots, to deliver a message to General Washington. Their mission is a dangerous one that could cost them their lives.

I fell in love with the Clark the boys and loved the fast paced adventure, not only did I not want to put it down, our 14 year old is already on the second book in the series, Submarines, Secrets and a Daring Adventure.

I love seeing my reluctant reader enjoy reading – these books were just the trick. I highly recommend them for you, your young reader and for the classroom. Keep this series coming!

Their ancestor, Lamberton Clark, one of the main characters in the story, fought in the Revolutionary War as a member of the Connecticut Militia and the Continental Army.
